Worship Series:  The Journey

Walking the Road to Bethlehem
Journey with us as we travel from Nazareth to Bethlehem in this fascinating Advent look at the birth of Jesus the Christ. Series creator, Adam Hamilton, provides the backdrop for our exploration of Mary, Joseph, Mary’s visit with Elizabeth, traveling the distance between Nazareth to Bethlehem, and finally, arriving at the Manger.  Using historical information, dramatic scenes, inspiring music, and an in-depth look at some of the stories surrounding the birth, the most amazing moment in history will become more real and heart-felt as you walk along this road.   Join us for Advent Worship!  November 30 through Christmas Eve!

Christmas Angels
WOW!  We have an amazing opportunity this year to provide Christmas gifts of clothes and toys to children who, without us, will not get to celebrate with presents.  Deacon Cookie has 52, YES FIFTY-TWO, children listed that need help.  Please consider taking on an angel or three or ten!  Presents don’t have to be expensive…they just need to be provided from a place of caring and love.

If you cannot offer presents for children, please keep the Christmas Angel program in your prayers!  We need a miracle!!!

What You See is What You Get

I was speaking with a friend this past week about the many goings-on in our church family.  We’re incredibly blessed by each others’ presence and involvement in the church and the ministries that our community is becoming known for.  It’s a time of plenty in so many ways, and yet, sometimes we get caught up in the tragedy of lost focus.

For instance, as we prepare for our next year in ministry, we must talk about the finances of the church.  We’ve been collecting commitment cards for the last three weeks and have a few weeks more, but so far, the commitment seems relatively small.  Last week, we didn’t have any numbers to add to our commitment thermometer and in wondering how to communicate that, I had to make a decision about the focus.  Was I going to pay primary attention on the lack of new cards that week?  Or was there a different way to look at the situation?

I decided to focus on the positive. (read more >>)
