GATH'r Series Trailer
As the world gets more and more hectic around you, GATH’r in this special place, this house of God, and root yourself more deeply in your faith.  GATH’r with Gratitude, Appreciation and Thanksgiving, GATH’r in hospitality…and learn what it is to truly live as a resurrection people.  GATH’r for the here and now, GATH’r for the future, GATH’r for those who GATH’r with us in Spirit around the world.  Whatever you do this November……GATH’r!

This Week…GATH’r in Hospitality!
Hospitality is the active condition of humility.  Much of Christian thought today is focused on the lack of pride…then defined as “humility”…as if to be humble is to be lacking a sense of self.  Yet, humility is situated within a person, in all that the person is and hopes to be.  Humility ought never be a state of constant being un-human, but a state of constant human activity…for to be humble is to be willing to put others’ needs ahead of our own.  When that willingness is put to action, it is hospitality.  When we gather as a body of believers – the Body of Christ – we are both a proud people of faith, and a people willing to put others’ needs ahead of our own (humble), and ready to act for the healing into wholeness (salvation) of others by welcoming them and offering them the comforts needed to grow (hospitality).  Constant hospitality in giving and receiving the blessings of God brings us closer to our God.

Luke 23:33-43 & Colossians 1:11-20

Advent 2013

Beginning on December 1, 2013, we embrace the Advent season with a series called “Awed and Odd”…for we Christians are in awe of a God that loves us so much as to send the Son to us in the birth of Jesus, and we are an odd bunch, called to act and live in contrast with the values of the world.  Join us for a new understanding of the classic themes of Advent: Peace, Love, Joy, and Hope as we prepare for and celebrate the birth of Jesus, our Christ.

Advent programming will begin the week of December 2nd!!!  Watch for a separate announcement and calendar!
