World AIDS Day – December 1st
MCC has a long legacy of service to and with those who have lived with and died from HIV and AIDS. When no other church would embrace the infected person; in an age when medical personnel feared even the basic human touch of an infected person; during a time in our country’s history that politicians led a campaign to further stigmatize sufferers rather than pull together to find a cure – MCC led the way in compassion, grace, God’s loving abundance, and companionship. Today, millions of people are infected each year. The epidemic is now a pandemic; effecting every part of our globe. Still, stigma threatens a cure. Still, apathy slows solutions. But we made a promise…STOP AIDS.
Join us on December 1st, in the war memorial at the Wichita County Courthouse, at 6:30pm for a community gathering calling for the end to HIV and AIDS!
