Incarnation is the miracle of bringing what is without form into human, bodily form. Christ – the office of salvation in our God’s presence – became incarnate through Jesus. |We the Prophets…
As we parted after church on Sunday, many shared feelings of peace and excitement at the presence of the Spirit. Thirty-two folks joined in worship and in a time of reflection on the prophecy that we all carry within us as part of our mission as followers of Christ has continued to bless my week, and, I hope, yours.
The Prophecy we carry to the world around us is in many ways the same one carried by our ancestors. God loves us so much that God gave the begotten, the child and savior, to know us in the most intimate way possible. And Jesus loves us so much that He sacrificed His own life to accomplish what we human beings couldn’t just accept on our own.
Even though we know the message, presence of darkness in our world tries to convince us to believe the worst about one another rather than the best; to focus on the shortcomings and sins of others than to be grateful for the grace afforded all of us. That proverbial speck… [read more…]
It is with grief and with hope in the eternal promise of life everlasting that we announce the passing of
Don passed from this life on Tuesday, January 27th. A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday, Feburary 7th, at 2:00 in the afternoon. All are welcome to come celebrate Don’s life with his wife Marian, son Brian, and other extended family.

Our series “The Body of Christ, Incarnate” is blessed with the timing of this docudrama screening. Join us to view this 50-minute free movie that talks about what it means to be the Body of Christ in a world that watches our example. What do they learn when they watch us?

There are many wonderful things at church that will never be done if you don’t do them. We have LOTS of opportunity to get involved at WFMCC. There’s no reason to stay disconnected from your faith community! Take a look at how you can be involved…

Downtown Dinner – Help Serve the community while you experience the benefit of sharing Christ’s love with others! Service: Every third Tuesday, 5:30pm
GenderQuest – support one another as we navigate this gendered world around us! Meeting: every 2nd Tuesday, 6:30pm Location: TBA
Hospitality Hour – Come to church a little early on Sunday and enjoy a full breakfast and time to connect! Service: Sundays, 10:00am

Renewal through Scripture
In 2015, Wichita Falls MCC will begin building a program of regular education through Bible study.
In order to ensure that as many of our community as possible can participate, Pastor Mel needs to hear from you!
We have seven nights/days to choose from, and Pastor Mel is able to meet twice a week for study.
